This is just a short introduction how to set up the VMware Player software and start the VMware appliances. The same text with the actual passwords is included in the readme.txt files of the VMware image downloads.
For starting this VMware image you will need the free
VMware Player software:
0) Extract this zip file to a directory of your choice
1) Install the Player software
2) Start the VMware Player and select open
3) Go to the directory with the zip file contents
4) Open the .vmx file and wait a bit
5) Either you are logged in automatically or
you have to enter the standard user password
username: xxxx
password: yyyy
root password: zzzz
Please remember to download your applicance by trying the torrent file first instead of using the zip download link just because it may be slightly more convenient. Think of the direct zip links as fallback solutions in case a torrent has no seeder for a longer time. Thank you!
