Here comes the second Ubuntu image from quoTrader, the Karmic Koala or Ubuntu 9.10. This one is a peek to Gnome Zeitgeist and in general for Gnome 3.0, which is expected only in the 2. half of 2010, but parts of it are already there.

As usual the free VMware Player is fine for operation. Installation has been done with minimal changes to the original release. The biggest difference is probably that the root password has been set to the same as the user password. There have been some confusions.

This is not a specific trading appliance, instead it is usable for daily work or for having a first look at the new and shiny Gnome desktop.
